Common questions
How do I get started?

Download PrivaPrompt for Windows, choose the AI provider you want to use, get an API key from that provider, paste the key into Settings, and start with a simple prompt. Free Starter is designed for personal use on one Windows machine. Business plans are for teams that need more Windows machines, stronger controls, and rollout support.

Can I use Free Starter with Gemini?

Yes. Free Starter is designed to start with Gemini. You can create a Gemini API key through Google AI Studio with a Google account, then paste that key into PrivaPrompt Settings.

Do I need a regular ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude account?

You may use those services separately, but PrivaPrompt needs API access from the provider you choose. A regular chat subscription may not include API usage.

Where do I get an API key?

Gemini API keys are created in Google AI Studio. OpenAI API keys are created in the OpenAI Platform. Claude API keys are created through Anthropic Console. After you create the key, paste it into PrivaPrompt Settings.

Does my private data go to the AI provider?

PrivaPrompt is designed to replace sensitive details before they are sent to AI. The version sent to the AI provider uses placeholders such as [NAME_1], [EMAIL_1], and [PHONE_1].

Is this a perfect privacy guarantee?

No privacy tool should be sold as a perfect guarantee for every possible document or prompt. PrivaPrompt reduces exposure risk by replacing sensitive details before prompts reach the AI provider.

AI provider account required. PrivaPrompt supports using your own API key for OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude where configured. Provider usage is billed separately by your chosen provider. PrivaPrompt helps reduce exposure risk by replacing sensitive details before prompts reach the AI provider; it should not be presented as a perfect guarantee or a replacement for every enterprise DLP control.
